Listen to patients share their experience of Buvidal,
in their own words

Patient Experience

We put patients at the heart of everything we do. That’s why our journey starts with people telling us, in their own words, what Buvidal has meant for them and their lives.

Clearly every patient experience is an individual one and the videos that follow are not intended to represent a larger patient cohort.

It can be difficult for people to talk about their addiction and the impact it has had on their lives, so we thank everyone who has participated and for their consent to share their lived experience with others.

Marie and Ryan

Marie struggled with heroin addiction for almost thirty years following a family trauma. Marie’s son, Ryan, heard about Buvidal and thought it might help his mother.

Michael

Michael’s drug use started on the party scene and resulted in his life spiralling out of control. Since starting Buvidal he has engaged in higher education, fitness and volunteering.

Karl

After struggling initially to engage in treatment, Karl describes how Buvidal finally gave him the ‘mindset’ change that he needed to enter rehab and really start his recovery journey.

Stephen

Drug use was a way for Stephen to surpress his thoughts and feelings relating to childhood trauma. He describes how Buvidal has helped him to ‘cope’ and establish a normal daily routine.

Vinny

Traumatic childhood experiences led Vinny into drug dependence at an early age. He describes how Buvidal has helped him feel ‘human again’ and able to finally reconcile with his past.
